Its time to prove yourself on the Machine's Contest Weekend! (11-12 september 2009)
Send in your demo (dj's +- 30min, producers +-20min, mc's +- 10min) before Friday the 28th of august!! Mail your link to machinecontest@gmail.com or burn a cd and send it to Machine, Naamsestraat 34, 3000 Leuven. It's also possible to give your cd at the bar. Do not forget to write your name, number and email on it!
We will chose the 10 best dj's, the 5 best producers and the 10 best mc's and announce the chosen ones on Tuesday 1 september. You will find all the info at our website!
The dj's will challenge on friday 11 september 2009 starting at 21.00u!! Every dj will play 30 min. The contest will stop at 2.00u, BUT there will be an afterparty!! The winner will be announced at 2.30u.
The producers and mc's will challenge on saturday 12 september 2009 starting at 20.00u!! Every producer will play 30min. At 22.30u the producer contest will stop and winner will be announced at 23.00u. From then on, the Mc contest will begin.
The Mc's will have to chose between either Hip Hop, Ragga, Drum n Bass or Dubstep. There will be a dj who will play your chosen style, and you get 30min. to prove yourself. At 4.00u the Mc contest will stop, so the afterparty can begin. The winning mc will be announced at 4.30u.
The winning dj, producer and mc will all get a free party! They can chose a date and get Machine one night for free!
The second and thirth place will receive a Machine T-Shirt!
But offcourse, everyone who bangs the crowd really hard, get's a booking!!
There will be a profesional jury that counts for 50 procent of the total points. The other 50 procent will come from the crowd themselfs. So bring your friend to support!
More details will follow in the next week (jury, how to vote, ... ) but don't wait to make your demo!!

We are happy to announce that Machine will be able to continue throwing parties! The S.O.S. Machine and other benefit events provided the benefits to supply you with all kinds of music once again!
BUT... Machine isn't 100 procent safe.
Due to the electrical problems we experienced, Machine had to close its doors for a week. This was a great los for us, especially in a week where we had planned a big event every other night.
Also, the extremely hot weather and off course Rock Werchter, kept a lot of people outside.
Some elements held us back from gaining the 30 000 euro we needed, and this means that we're not totally safe But, we were able to buy us extra time.
Machine is now able to continue till the end of october 2009. At that time there will be an investigation about the financial elements necessary to see if Machine will be able to make it in future time.
We will do everything possible once again and hope that you will continue to support Machine. It is this device that modifies energy that combines us, and without its gentle crowd and support Machine just wouldn't be Machine. You have set the example recently with the succesfull first edition of Summer Freedom. Every Tuesday we continue to throw free parties, as always with Leuvens finest & special guests, featuring a different style each weak.
Once again Massive, massive thanks for the support, as we continue to try and make the best out of everything!

The machine crew wants to thank everyone for the many endorsements and ideas that we have received.
We have therefore elected to all of you who give support to us, or those who intend to do so, to open up a short weekly publishing journal. This allows everyone to follow up the latest developments. Last Thursday appeared a freaky interview with Spazz & Kristof in the newspaper. This article can be read online!
FaceBook is spinning round! We have now 1200 SOS facebookers in just one week. And we target on 5000 SOS machine FBworkers! So keep going strong and please continue the facebook development circles with our SOS-machine message.
First donations were received. We had a nice party last night and there were spontaneous donations ! So our sincere thanks. The sum was approximately € 33.58. Not much in value but this is already a valued expression of genuine support from our machine visiotors! Thks peeps!
